Le terme nell\u2019antichit\u00e0 non erano solo luoghi di benessere, cura e igiene del proprio corpo, erano anche luoghi di aggregazione e socializzazione, di confronto politico e di svago. Il tutto si svolgeva quotidianamente in ambienti accoglienti e decorati finemente, in cui era possibile essere massaggiati con oli profumati, svolgere attivit\u00e0 fisica e fare bagni in piscine fredde e calde e bagni di vapore. Ad Albisola la zona delle terme spiccava per le sue ragguardevoli dimensioni e la ricca decorazione.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-21fb9ee\" data-id=\"21fb9ee\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div fossero solo private e ad uso esclusivo del padrone di casa ma che potessero avere anche carattere pubblico ed essere a disposizione di chi qui stazionava \u2026 E magari anche degli abitanti delle zone limitrofe.&nbsp;<u><br><\/u>L\u2019area termale si trova immediatamente a ovest della zona residenziale: era estesa e formata, come consuetudine, da un insieme di ambienti collegati tra loro; oggi consiste solo in ci\u00f2 che resta di un grande edificio di forma quadrata e in un annesso rettangolare, a sud, con funzione di cisterna per immagazzinare l&#8217;acqua.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section invaso di forma circolare, delimitato da gradoni, di cui sono ancora visibili alcune tracce, in origine rivestiti in marmo. <br \/>Circa la funzione di questa struttura, in passato \u00e8 stato ipotizzato potesse trattarsi di un <em>laconicum <\/em>ossia di una sorta di ambiente adibito a sauna. Recentemente nuove indagini hanno portato ad una parziale revisione circa la sua funzione e l&#8217;ambiente \u00e8 stato riconosciuto come una<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <a style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/albadocilia.cultura.gov.it\/?page_id=1249#piscina-calida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>piscina calida<\/em><\/a><\/span>.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Il riscaldamento del locale e dell\u2019acqua veniva prodotto attraverso un grande fuoco gestito in un apposito spazio al di sotto del fondo della piscina (<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/albadocilia.cultura.gov.it\/?page_id=1249#hypocaustum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><u>hypocaustum<\/u><\/em><\/a>), una sorta di grande intercapedine sostenuta da colonnine di mattoni a cui gli addetti al fuoco potevano accedere attraverso un corridoio, tutt\u2019ora visibile e ben conservato, situato sul lato occidentale dell\u2019edificio.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-80ae6cc\" data-id=\"80ae6cc\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c38cce8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c38cce8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">L\u2019enorme calore generato dal fuoco riscaldava l\u2019aria sotto la vasca, si diffondeva nell\u2019ampio corridoio anulare che la circondava e risaliva attraverso le condotte disposte a raggiera sopra di esso per riscaldare l\u2019aria al livello superiore in una ulteriore intercapedine tra il muro circolare che delimitava la piscina e i muri perimetrali dell\u2019edificio quadrangolare che la conteneva.<\/span><br><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sfortunatamente nessun oggetto rinvenuto rimanda direttamente alla pratica termale.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Possiamo quindi solamente immaginare, aiutati da confronti, la presenza di oggetti legati alla cura del corpo come ad esempio contenitori in ceramica e vetro per contenere oli, profumi e unguenti utilizzati durante i massaggi, oggetti personali appartenenti agli avventori (oggetti in metallo e in osso, monili, specchi, aghi crinali), e manufatti legati allo svolgimento dell\u2019attivit\u00e0 fisica, come gli <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/albadocilia.cultura.gov.it\/?page_id=1249\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>strigili<\/u><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section
